Welcome to Raska Cattery.

We first started showing cats in New South Wales in 1998 and over the past ten years have been regular exhibitors at many shows, but after attending a show in 2000 we fell in love with the Russian Blue. The majesty, dignity and temperament of this cat made us sit up and take notice. They are an amazing animal, non-demanding, agreeable, quiet and proud - yet their presence is tangible. Such a dignified, yet individual cat.

That year, along came our first Russian Blue Princess - Tatyana. Since Tatyana, we have owned and shown many Russian Blues to the point where it was a natural progression for us to become breeders. We regularly travel N.S.W. showing our cats, are members of the  N.S.W. Cat Fanciers Association and I am an accredited N.S.W. C.F.A. Steward. I also run a small business - Di's Pet Care and work in conjunction with Dogwalks Pty. Ltd. looking after quarantined animals at the Australia Quarantine Isolation Station - AQIS at Eastern Creek, NSW. (For more information on Di's Pet Care click here)

We breed quality Russian Blues, not quantity and regard Raska as a hobby, not a business. Our cats are part of the family, as are all of our other pets and our belief is that owning a pet is a life-long committment. I regularly rescue domestic and pure-bred cats as a member of DCH (Dog Cat & Horse Rescue) and support compulsory de-sexing and micro-chipping.

Raska Cattery is less than an hour's drive from Sydney, and about 15 minutes drive from Parramatta, where we share our home with our beautiful cats, dogs, birds and fish.

Also new is our Rescue Page where we seek to relocate rescued pure-bred and domestic cats into loving homes and give these animals a second chance in life.
